Dear Church,

Greetings from Chicago!

Hi! How are you doing? I pray that this mail finds you guys blessed and well. We miss you all a lot... and this is always the challenge of mission work for me. I know I have to go yet I don't like the feeling of having to leave everyone behind. If I have a choice, I will pack everyone in a suitcase and bring everyone along. That way we can have regular prayer meetings, worship sessions and also fellowships all the time! (Can we also bring along Chinese food? :D)

Last weekend, I preached at Ps. Eddie King's church, Redemption Church International, Knoxville. I had a great time and the presence of God was strong. Ps Ed made me felt so welcomed that I preached really well. I challenged them to serve with a right attitude if they want to inherit the anointing of God from Ps Ed. The church members were very receptive and hungry for the word of God. Apart from these, their band was simply amazing! They played really tight and sang amazingly well. They did a rendition of Solid Rock with a black choir feel. It was awesome. Esther and I enjoyed it very much and we will teach you when we come back. All in all, it was a great experience for me. I pray God will continue to enlarge all of us to influence our world for Jesus Christ!

This weekend I will be speaking for Ps. Robb. This time round, my task would be to teach all their leaders a new paradigm of serving God, I will first speak at their youth service, ignite and later on train all their staff and leaders. Church, please pray for me as I serve God in the mission field. Please also pray for Esther, Eitan and Yee Wen's health. We have another week to go and it can be pretty taxing. And when we come home, it will be time for our most exciting Arise and Build Season ever.

Things are moving fast. Please continue to pray and ask God to intervene on our behalf.
Let's rise up and leave a mark in our generation!

Oct 18-19, 2008

Dear church,

Greetings from the Big Apple, New York City.

First and foremost, I want to thank and congratulate all of you for doing so well in the last Big Day entitled Dance, My Love. I could see all the cast worked extremely hard to bring out the message of passion and excellence in all the dialogues and dances. It was a performance worthy to be acknowledged and praised. Well done guys! Not only them, all the cell group leaders and members did very well too in bringing all their friends in the droves! Some cell groups brought like 50 to 100 friends to church! WOW! That's amazing! Truly you have fulfilled the task of an evangelist! Last but not least, all the technical crew also carried out their roles exceptionally well. There were almost zero glitch all throughout the 4 services. As your pastor, I am extremely proud to have led you guys! I pray we will continue to do well and shine for Jesus creatively! (Actually some of our friends that came did comment that we can sell tickets for this production and still make money! That was how good you guys have done!) Above all these the most encouraging note must be the fact that we hit another breakthrough attendance of 2497 people with 78 decisions! Hallelujah! God is cool! And so, starting this week we will need to put our hands to the plow once again and work really hard to conserve the harvest. All of us would need to reach out and do follow-up on all our friends. Remember, we are doing this because we love God with passion and love people with compassion. I am not satisfied to see my friends remain stagnant all their lives! In view of such great growth, let's aim to hit 1500 people this weekend. Amen!

And for the next 2 weekends, I will be in the US to preach. This time round I am invited to speak for Ps. Robb and also Ps. Eddie King. It is going to be another new adventure for me as I seek to serve God overseas. So church may I ask you to pray for my family and me. I need all the prayers that I can get to bring Him honor.

And when I come back we will enter into our 3rd Arise and Build season. The work set before us is huge. We need RM9 million to build. Very often it seems impossible to me but I guess that's how God works so that we have to learn to let go and let God take control. Church, may I ask you to prepare yourself to pledge and sacrifice your best offering ever! Let's choose to live by faith and honor Him.

Running with you,

KEV
