Dear Church,

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus!

How are you doing? I pray that this write up finds you blessed and well. Another week has come and gone… time really does fly! And we are almost at the beginning of April, which means only 2/3 of the year is left! Phew! With this in mind, I would like to remind all of us the need to keep pressing on toward the goals that are ahead of us. Do not be distracted. Stay focused. Do the things that you have planned to accomplish. Persist. Do not lose heart. It is usually at this point that many of us forget the goals that we have set for the year. I want to encourage you to be reminded of them again. It is time to re-check and recharge!

In the last 2 Fridays we have had our annual Friend’s Nights. Both nights were simply a blast. Close to 1600 people came for a time of laughter, games and celebration. Not to mention those lucky ones who walked home with new Ipods!!! It was fun seeing so many people mingling around, socializing and getting to know each other better. It is my dream that the church continues to facilitate the society as a meeting place, a place where genuine friendships can be forged. This is so important because Jesus wants us to bless and help those around us. Without any interactions with the society the church will cease to be relevant.

City Harvest, may I encourage you to continue to spread your wings and be an influence for the LORD. I believe if we continue to bring empty vessels before the LORD, His miracles will never stop to flow and our church will continue to grow!

Last but not least, I want to remind all of you that next weekend Ps. Kong Hee will be bringing us the Word of God. I want to encourage all of you to come prepared to receive and bring as many friends as possible to come. Let us fill the whole church with seekers of the Word of God who want their lives to be touched and transformed by Jesus!

Let’s believe God for 2000 people next weekend!

Go go go CHCKL!!!

Dear Church,

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus!

WOW! What a weekend we have had! Last week's 3 services were just simply amazing, with great presence of God and many lives touched! We have had a total attendance of 1379 people and 42 of them responded to the altar call! Amen. Not only that, I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate Mui Lin and Eric, Nicole and Cheah Kit for tying the knot over the weekend. It was all one good, big weekend. I am sure those who celebrated the day with them agree with me that it was all very fun and very beautiful.

On Friday, we have had our first Friends night of the year! And it was a blast! So many new friends came from all over the place to be a part of our 'orientation' night. It was filled with laughter and joy as we sang, clapped, jumped, danced and ate! So many hot-dogs were digested!!! Again, it is all good.

It is my vision that the church becomes a place where destiny in Christ may be discovered and meaningful relationships with one another forged! The church needs to be relevant and practical. It cannot just be a place to meet the spiritual needs of the people though it is the main reason why a church exists. It should also be a community - a community of people who care and love one another. I know this is not always easy with our church reaching 1500 people but I want to tell you that this endeavor is worthwhile. Our faith is meaningless without the input and interaction of other people. We cannot grow without accountability and encouragement. So, I want to take this opportunity to ask all of us to increase our capacity in relating and accepting one another. Look beyond our differences and celebrate them as the LORD makes each and every one of us unique. With this new attitude and mentality, I believe our church will grow even further and stronger!

Let's believe God for 1800 soon!

In Him,

KEV

Dear Church,

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus!

I am home!!! J After spending a fruitful and freezing week in Moscow, it is so good to be back. Actually, I have also been to Indonesia after I came back from Moscow to speak to a group of 500 Indonesians who has just completed their singing competition.

Moscow was unbelievable! The weather was freezing but the people were so warm. I spoke 4 times while I was there and I have had a great time. All the students (who are doctors to be) were simply outstanding. Their passion for God is exemplary. On Thursday night, they had to travel more than an hour to attend the leaders meeting after close to 10 hours of lecture and hospital visits! And most of the time they have to brave through the snow to serve. I was very blessed by their heart for God. They organize, run and do everything all by themselves. They even make their own ‘nasi-lemak’ and ‘sushi’ to raise money! WOW! What kind of medical students who would do such a thing if not for a strong love for God? On Sunday night, it was the main event – ONE LIFE. Can you believe it? They actually booked Holiday Inn ballroom in downtown Moscow and even managed to get Emirates Airlines to sponsor the event! That night close to 700 students came and out of that close to 95 students responded to the altar call and committed themselves to go for at least one mission trip! I was blown away! I was simply amazed by their tenacity and fervency for God! I want to ask all of us to remember them in our prayers so that they can continually serve and shine for Jesus wherever they are! And to know more about them you can check out their blog at www.malaysianfellowship.blogspot.com.

Lastly before I sign off, I would like to remind all of you to invite your friends to come to our Friend’s Night on March 13 and 20! We have a lot of surprises prepared for you so make sure you don’t miss it!

Take care guys and see you this weekend!

In Him,

KEV

Dear Church,

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus!

How are you doing? I pray that this message finds you well and blessed with every good gift from heaven. Last weekend was the second weekend we had 3 services and the turnout was truly amazing! I really want to thank you guys for being so flexible. I am so proud of you and I believe with this attitude our church will continue to grow and influence our nation for the LORD. Apart from that, I also want to share with you a piece of good news. Last weekend, we collected a special offering in all the 3 services for Yvonne Foong. She told us that she needed RM17,000 to undergo her operation in the US. And all of us in CHCKL gave very generously and as a result of that we raised in total RM25,000!!! Hallelujah! Well done, guys! You are amazing! From now on, our job is to keep remembering her in our prayers until the surgery is over and her health is restored.

This weekend I am in Moscow speaking for the Malaysian Fellowship ONE LIFE event and also at the International Christian Assembly Church. This is the first time I am here. Though I am not exactly sure what to expect, I am very excited in my spirit. I know the LORD has many great things in stored for them for this generation. So, I would like to ask all of you to pray for me especially for my voice. I need to gain back the strength in my vocal cord so that I can minister to them effectively. I will come back with all the good news and praise reports! Of course I will also try to update some stuff on my facebook.

And in 2 weeks time, we will be having our annual Friends Night for 2 consecutive Friday nights. I want to encourage you to invite all your friends to come for a night of games, fun, hang-out and of course food. Let’s help all our new friends get assimilated into life at City Harvest.

OK then… see you in a week’s time.

Take care and God bless,

KEV
